tips & tricks

How do you cook meati?

You can cook the range of meati products much like you cook animal-based meat: sautéing, baking, grilling, air frying, and smoking are all options. In the case of a Crispy Cutlet, we recommend air frying or baking in the oven. As an added bonus, meati cuts do not overcook or burn as easily as animal-based meat. But we do recommend checking for an internal temperature of 165°F while cooking to ensure the best texture if you have a cooking thermometer. And be sure to check out our cooking tips, recipes and cooking instructions in the Meati Kitchen!

What seasoning can I use to make plain cutlets and steaks more flavorful?

Season meati Classic Cutlets like you would a chicken breast or thigh, and use salt & pepper or your favorite steak seasoning on our Classic Steaks. You can find some ideas here, and follow us on Instagram for more tips and tricks!

How do you grill meati? Should I marinate it beforehand?

Season your meati like you would chicken or beef, but for no longer than two hours before you’re ready to heat. Apply a slight amount of oil to the outside and then grill. We recommend checking out specific instructions for cooking here, as times vary based on the meati cut and whether it’s frozen or thawed. The internal temperature should reach 165°F.

Can I microwave meati?

It’s okay to microwave Meati as long as it heats thoroughly and cooks to an internal temperature of 165°F .
